FINZ member since 1991

Lisa has been an active member of FINZ since joining in 1991. She was on the FINZ National Council for 6 years between 1994 and 2000, including as President from 1997 to 2000. She was also the Chair of the Ethics Committee from 2005 to 2009.

Lisa began her professional life in advertising, writing and management. During her time as the Development Officer for a disability organization she became aware of the strength of philanthropic fundraising as an important way to achieve an organisation’s objectives.

One of the exciting things for Lisa as a fundraiser is being able to teach people about the ‘joy of giving’, showing people how together they can do what no one individual can alone making the world a better place.

Currently working at Presbyterian Support, Lisa is supported by her Chief Executive and Board who also involve themselves in fundraising. Lisa is commitment to FINZ and believes that commitment to a professional institute is one of the hallmarks of a profession and ultimately raises the standards of the industry as a whole.
