Brand Clarity & Consistency – The Essence of Successful Fundraising From Individuals
Facilitator: Stephen Pidgeon (UK), world-renowned fundraising advisor and columnist
What motivates a donor to give, then go on giving, even to the point of leaving a legacy when they die? Central to all the techniques fundraisers can use to keep the donor’s attention is the need for a consistent and strong position and message — in other words, your brand. This is not some fancy brand workshop — it’s down-to-earth, example-driven, techniques-rich, learning experience! Your fundraising will be a lot more successful after it and you will learn how to resist the pressures of non-fundraising colleagues who love to “dabble without responsibility.” Can you resist?

Creativity for Work and Everyday Life – Lessons From the Artists to Help you Tackle Fundraising and Life Challenges
Facilitator: Dr Rom Rudzki (New Zealand), NZAFA, founder and director of the New Zealand School of Export, winner of the Financial Times David Thomas Award
Many fundraising challenges can be overcome with a new perspective and fresh ideas. Learn how creative thinking can you help you find the solutions to a variety of fundraising quandaries and help you become a more successful fundraiser. Best yet, many of the principles you will learn can be used in your personal life as well. This unique session will be filled with laughter, ideas, insights, and above all, a step change in increasing your own personal levels of creativity forever.

The Joy of Story Telling – Fundraising Fails Without a Good Yarn
Facilitator: Sean Triner (Australia), co-founder Pareto Fundraising
Having fundraised around the world, Sean has come to believe that an individual fundraising strategy, no matter how good, needs sticky stories.
With real examples, delegates will learn how to interview, gather information, and turn it into the kind of "sticky" story that makes people give, whether for major donors, direct mail letters, websites or on the phone.

Fundraising Performance Evaluation – How Results Analysis Can Produce Increased Profitability
Facilitator: James Greenfield (USA), noted author of many fundraising books including People to People Fundraising: Social Networking and Web 2.0 for Charities and Internet Management for Nonprofits: Strategies, Tools & Trade Secrets
Demands for financial accountability by board members, volunteers, donors and others often focus on “how much money did your raise?” followed by “how much did it cost?” How should fundraising be evaluated? What are the metrics and benchmarks for measuring gift results as well as performance by fundraising staff? Can results analysis define potential sources of increased revenue?
This session will include performance analysis models to validate efficiency and identify options for increased profitability. Sample budgets, gift reports, worksheets and case studies will be provided to measure results against standard performance guidelines. The objective also will be to demonstrate program effectiveness and cost efficiency along with a reliable forecasting model for estimating future gift revenues.
