Every day our fabulous team makes the world a better place, and we are looking for another fabulous person to join that team.
The Role
Face to face fundraising is an always changing environment, sometimes challenging, sometimes weird, always rewarding. Our charity clients and supplier companies are committed and wonderful people - this role is to make sure that they are as happy as they can be.
You will be our eyes in the sky, feet on the street and man / woman on the spot; making sure that our work is of the highest possible quality. Use your top notch customer service skills for good, not evil.
What's In It For Me?
We're glad you asked that question...
Cornucopia has a set of values that we live by - everyone involved in our work has to "win". If someone is losing then we have failed. Your job will be to help everyone else win - our job is to make sure that you do too. Specifically it is Kristy's job to make sure you win - she is very good at her job.
Who are you?
To be a dazzling success in this role you will need to:
This is isn't a predictable job. Every day we have dozens of people working across NZ, talking to hundreds of people. Things will go wrong, people will get upset; We need someone who understands how people work so that when things go wrong, they can be fixed and everyone is then happy again.
If you generally find that people throw things at you for no apparent reason - please don't apply. If you are known to your friends as the peacemaker and the diplomat then we love you.
What next?
Send a letter explaining how lovely and fabulous you are to Lisa (who is our judge of good letters). Don't call her "sir or madam" and don't just copy and paste the last one you sent. It doesn't need to be long, it just needs to tell us who you are and why we need you.
Send a resume as well so we know what you've been up to until this life changing moment.
